The Qurrah Programme: Childcare Support for Working Women

Advice 18 August 2026

Are you a working woman with a child who needs childcare during working hours?

The Qurrah childcare support programme supports women working in the private sector by covering part of the cost of childcare at approved centres, helping them stay in work with peace of mind about their child during the working day.

Who is eligible for the Qurrah programme?

The main conditions for benefiting from the programme are:

  • The beneficiary must be a Saudi national.
  • She must be employed in the private sector.
  • She must be registered with the General Organization for Social Insurance.
  • Her wage registered with Social Insurance must not exceed SAR 8,000.
  • The child must be no older than 6 years.

Eligibility is subject to the programme's approved terms and rules, so it is worth checking your eligibility when you register.

How do I use the Qurrah programme?

Qurrah's services are accessed through the unified services platform of the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), in a few straightforward steps:

  • 1. Open the Qurrah service and register.
  • 2. Add your child's details.
  • 3. Search for an approved childcare centre taking part in the programme.
  • 4. Choose the centre and the service that suit you.
  • 5. Complete the booking and receive the support, subject to eligibility and the approved rules.

It is important to check that the nursery you want to register with is listed among the centres taking part in the Qurrah programme.

How do you choose the right nursery?

Alongside the financial support, it matters that you choose a nursery offering your child a safe environment suited to their age, with educational and enrichment programmes that help them grow and develop. Some of the things a mother can consider:

  • The nursery's location.
  • Opening hours.
  • A safe environment suited to children.
  • The programmes and activities.
  • The age groups accepted.
  • The team's experience.
  • How well they communicate with the family.
